THISTLE THURSDAYS

Being a global online directory with the personal touch meant we wanted to create situations where our clients could network and meet, not just the Your Event Scotland team, but other clients and business associates that would benefit them and progress their businesses.

Promoting quality venues, services and suppliers across Scotland our aim is to help customers source anything they need to rent, hire or buy to help create that special and memorable event. From as simple as a cake, clown or caterer to that special complete wedding planner or event management company.

Anyone with internet access can be a user/customer, so we welcome people from a vast array of businesses to attend.

*THISTLE THURSDAYS*

Regular Thistle Thursday events have seen guests exchange not just business cards but experiences, laughs and opinions on a vast array of topics! Entertainment has seen Neil Cooper (X Footballer/ Manager) help with a Christmas spot the ball to quizzes, wine tasting and even an unusual display of Nappy Cakes! Opportunity for clients to display/promote can add a surprise element to the evenings which had one small, late Christmas group compete and try to even contort into a Santa sack!

Guests can enjoy complimentary wine/beer/soft drink/tea/coffee and nibbles whilst in the comfort of considerate hosting to ensure introductions and networking is maximised.

Always a new set of faces in among a few regulars, I have been surprised at the array of businesses and people I have met, hence always leaving with something to benefit myself, family and/or business. At the beginning of this year Thistle Thursdays progressed to Inverness where a brief overview of Your Event Scotland was presented, along with some short intros, from various clients who had travelled from as far afield as Stirling, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Some departed at around 7-8pm, whilst other stalwarts lingered till slightly later!

Our most recent event in Edinburgh saw everyone networking so easily it almost proved difficult to entice them across to the wonderful food. Due to the Irish theme, side splitting laughs about little leprechauns and more were in abundance, which kept the evening going for over 5 hours!
