Andrea Bocelli

Andrea Bocelli is a Classical Brit-winning and Grammy and Emmy nominated pop and classical crossover artist who appeals to audiences of all ages. His versatility stems from his unusual voice, which ranges from Bel Canto to Verismo, which is applicable to pop ballads. Though he has been blind since a sporting accident at the age of 12 he has never let it get in the way of his ambition, far from it in fact. Throughout his career he has recorded thirteen studio albums, of both pop and classical music, two greatest hits albums, and eight complete operas, selling over 70 million copies worldwide. It is not surprising then that he is rated the biggest-selling solo artist in the history of classical music. He has also received awards for his smouldering looks and was voted one of People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People in 1998. This is of course topped by his star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, which he was awarded in early 2010. Now aged 51 he still remains active in the pop and classical world and tours the globe performing songs from his long and prestigious career
