Chaz Royal’s Valentine’s Burlesque Extravaganza

Strathpeffer Pavilion is delighted to announce that Chaz Royal, internationally recognised as the ‘King of Burlesque’, will be bringing an evening of world class burlesque and cabaret to Strathpeffer.  On Friday 14th February 2014, the Pavilion will host an extra special Valentine’s Extravaganza that includes some of the UK’s best and brightest stars in the genre.

The glamorous line up includes:

- ‘Little Gem’; the pint sized pin-up and resident compère of the Northeast-based burlesque troupe, ‘The Headline Honeys’. ‘

- Betty D’Light’; also known as ‘Britain’s Burlesque Sweetheart’, with her glittering performance skills, knockout moves and a cheeky bump n’grind, Betty encapsulates what is wonderful about burlesque.

- ‘Frankii Wilde’; an international pin up model and burlesque femme fatale from Northern England.  Reminiscent of a vargas girl from a golden by gone era.  She’s fashionably lean and she’s fashionably late, just watch the way she walks, she’s a twentieth century fox!

- ‘Lotti Kixx’; a dark and decadent performance artist whose lyrical shows offer an indulgent mix of seductive music, impeccable choreography and exquisite style.

- ‘Daiquiri Dusk’; Scotland’s rock n’ roll burlesque bombshell.  She has previously performed at prestigious events such as Munich Burlesque Festival in Germany and Milan Burlesque Awards in Italy.

- ‘Cat Aclysmic’; The ultimate Southern Belle gone badly. This tattooed terror from the depths of Dixie blends British wit and American burlesque with sideshow skills and sex-charged satire.

- ‘Markee de Saw and Bert Finkle’; a pair of musical collage artists trapped in time. Their twisted cabaret performances use soprano, piano and musical saw to weave the constrained passion of Vienna salons, the dark humour of Berlin clubs and the seedy desperation of cruise ship cabarets into bittersweet stories.

Strathpeffer Pavilion’s evening of glitter, glamour and tease is not to be missed, General Manager Andrea Muir comments:

“Last year, members of the Pavilion team and I witnessed a ‘Chaz Royal’ production at the world famous Edinburgh Fringe and it was tremendous.  We’re really happy that we have finally managed to lock down a date for a show in Strathpeffer by the award-winning promoter.

“In previous years, burlesque shows have proved very popular.  We strongly advise locals to act quickly in purchasing their ticket for this show.  Our Café Bar will also be serving pre-theatre meals on the night, making it a truly unique way to spend your Valentine’s Day in 2014.”

Chaz Royal (Producer) comments, ‘I’m thrilled to be invited to produce a show in the Highlands, so I’ve chosen the best artists I know and regularly work with from Scotland and beyond for the occasion’’

Tickets go on sale online via www.strathpefferpavilion.org on Friday 29th November at 9 am for £16.  They will also be available from all usual outlets shortly thereafter.   Over 18s only
