Royston Maldoom Retrospective

Following an extremely successful collaboration in 2013, Edinburgh Choreographic Project presents an evening of modern dance devised by legendary international choreographer Royston Maldoom OBE – the founder of modern contemporary dance in Scotland.

The retrospective brings four short pieces together from Maldoom’s back catalogue, serving as both an introduction to contemporary dance and a reminder of what underpins his on-going achievements – choreographic flair. Black Earth,

The Confession of Isobel Gowdie, Adagietto No. 5 and Hook are perfect displays of modern dance, specially created by Royston Maldoom and inspired by some of his favourite composers; Gustav Mahler, Fazil Say, Graham Fitkin and James MacMillan CBE.
