Voices Unmasked Masquerade Ball

The theme of this event Voices Unmasked reflects the tireless work they carry out with the aim of developing peoples communication skills, confidence and ability to voice their views and to influence those who provide services. the hope is to raise as much as possible for this local independent self-advocacy organisation whose purpose is to promote the benefit of persons with learning disabilities LD and/or an autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) living within Dundee and district by supporting them to meet in a safe environment where they can gain knowledge and are encouraged to learn from their experiences, enabling them to lead a more independent life where they effectively manage risks themselves to live healthy lifestyles and keep safe.

The tickets for the Masquerade Ball are priced at £40 each which will include the nights entertainment, drinks reception and a three course meal. This event will be organised by the community interest company Along Came Kirsty CIC and tickets are available at : http://www.alongcamekirsty.co.uk/events 

Attendees will be able to meet some of the self-advocates, learn more about the work of the charity and find out the proposed development of a safe initiative in Dundee which would provide people and locations should an adult in distress feel unsafe when visiting the city centre. There will also be a safe place at the Masquerade Ball so that any of the self-advocates can retreat there at the event should they feel the need. Local businesses are being encourage to help sponsor this event including an option to pay for a self-advocate attending.
